The course structure

The course has five stages, between one and three weeks long. Each stage has resources (readings) and activities which lead into online discussions in which participants share and build new knowledge and understanding around sustainability. The reflections on personal practice which participants bring to the discussions are the core of this course – this is where the "eureka" moments happen.

Running throughout the course, and hopefully beyond, participants are asked to carry out an action project in their school, applying an action research approach (information on this is sent out before the course starts). To support this we ask each participant to work with a nominated mentor/co-learner in the school so the learning from the course is actively shared in the school, leading to greater impact and sustainability.
