Business is the major engine of global resource extraction to produce goods and services. As such, WWF recognises that the business community can make a significant contribution to finding sustainable solutions to the world’s pressing environmental challenges.
However, business operations are a complex response to demands from investors, employees, government, consumers and citizens. WWF, as a trusted partner for change, can bring together this cross section of stakeholder groups. Through shared learning and actions, WWF will work with these stakeholders to implement business and social change.

Within the WWF global network, WWF-UK has played a leading role in pioneering the development of social change initiatives that puts learning at the heart of change for sustainability. They work with three key communities; education, sustainable communities and business.
The Sustainable Business Unit champions this approach within the business community by building learning networks, such as One Planet Business, and learning partnerships.
