East of England
East of England Development Agency
The East of England Development Agency (EEDA) is a government-funded organisation sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and is the driving force behind sustainable economic growth and regeneration in the East of England.
EEDA has applied the REEIO to its Regional Economic Strategy (RES) review - focusing on the environment & renewable energy aspects of the strategy. REWARD inputs were based on development of 'Greening the Local Economy' scenarios and testing these with regional stakeholders.
EEDA has also applied the REEIO model to its Regional Waste Strategy. Previous assumptions of zero waste growth based on a shift to a less intensive economy were revised, as the evidence from the model did not support them.
