EEDA's Regional Economic Strategy Review

EEDAThe East of England Development Agency benefited from REWARD during its RES review. REWARD generated two green economic development scenarios - the first of which focused on maximum resource productivity (Road pricing, town center revival, inward investment etc.) and the second of which had a Quality of Life focus (economic security, fulfillment, community vitality - instead of growth). These scenarios were tested at a workshop involving regional policy players. The results were then reflected in a formal response by REWARD as part of the RES consultation. EEDA have revised environmental and renewable energy aspects of the RES as a result of this input and are likely to use the REEIO in subsequent reviews of the corporate and business planning strategies that flow from the RES.
