Scotland’s Global Footprint Project is a partnership between WWF Scotland, Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and North Lanarkshire Councils to reduce their global environmental impact. This project includes – measuring footprint, and using the REAP scenario tool to produce footprint reduction strategies for each council. It also includes the development of footprint software and curriculum materials for schools.

The project is supported by the Scottish Executive, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Power and Eco Schools.

The Executive will also continue to support the work of WWF and partner organisations to roll out the footprint approach to local authorities and schools across Scotland
